Frequently Asked Questions

What is our mission?

Our mission is to provide people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We will provide hope for people with disabilities and their families. Last and least, we will provide those people with a custom wheelchair to allow them to access their homes and communities.

Does the person receiving the wheelchair have to pay anything for it?

No, they do not. We do not charge the person receiving the wheelchair anything and we do not charge the missionaries we work with anything for the wheelchair.

Where do the wheelchairs come from?

We receive donated, used, custom wheelchairs from families and businesses in the US. We then refurbish the chair and design the seating to match the new user's needs.  This makes our ministry very unique because we do not have a cost associated with obtaining the equipment.

How do the wheelchairs get to the new user?

Each location has its own unique logistics for shipping. We are currently serving a rural area in the Dominican Republic. The wheelchairs will be driven to Fort Pierce, FL. Next, two of our representatives will fly with the wheelchairs on a cargo plane being flown by MFI. We will then fit each wheelchair to each individual and give them the wheelchair.

How can I help?

You can help with prayer, donations and joining our evangelistic team. Check out our "Get Involved" tab for more information! You can also spread the word about our mission. We would love to make presentations to churches, small groups, or businesses. You can also share and like our Facebook page.

What’s next after the Dominican?

Our plan is to continue to work with House Upon The Rock in the Dominican until their needs have been met. We are always open to exploring new opportunities with churches and missionaries. Please reach out to us if you or your church currently work with missionaries and you feel like our services can benefit people that you serve.

Who are your current Ministry Partners?

Our current Ministry Partners are listed at the bottom of the "Who We Are" Page. To learn more about each of them, simply click on their logo to be redirected to their page. We do see that each of our Ministry Partner's Statement of Faith and Mission align closely with ours.

What type of wheelchair donations do you accept?

We specialize in providing both pediatric and adult wheelchairs. We refurbish gently used,

custom, ultra lightweight, manual wheelchairs and manual tilt-in-space wheelchairs.

We also provide adaptive strollers.

Do you accept any other adaptive equipment?

We are currently accepting gait trainer donations. We plan to branch out to other products in the future. Providing gait trainers have been a huge blessing by allowing disabled children to walk for the first time.
